Heather Mitts played for the US Women's National Team from 1999-2013 and competed in more than 100 international games. She won three Olympic gold medals in 2004, 2008 and 2012 and was a member of the US squad that finished second in the 2011 World Cup and runner-up in the 2006 Algarve Cup.
Mitts also played professionally in both the Women's United Soccer Association and Women's Professional Soccer for the Philadelphia Charge, Boston Breakers, Philadelphia Independence and Atlanta Beat.

Mitts was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and attended St. Ursula Academy. She played collegiately at the University of Florida and helped lead the team to its first-ever national title in 1998. Mitts was a first-team All-American in 1999 and a third team All-American in 1998. At the end of her collegiate career, Mitts held school records for starts (94), appearances (95) and minutes played (7,547). In 2013, she was inducted into the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame. Off the field, Mitts spent time working as a soccer analyst for ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC for both the Women's World Cup and Major League Soccer (MLS). In 2005, she also worked as a sideline reporter for ESPN's coverage of college football. In 2010, Mitts married former NFL quarterback A.J. Feeley.
