Catie Hogan
Catie Hogan is the Founder and President of Hogan Financial Planning, LLC. She's also the author of the humorous, informative book The Millennial's Guide to Getting Your Sh*t Together, and an accomplished satirist and humor writer. Catie is on a mission to help young adults, particularly women and those in marginalized communities, become more financially literate and empowered. She does this using simple explanations of complex topics, personal anecdotes, and humorous relatability.
Catie understands what it means to be a broke Millennial. She finished college with six-figures in student loans, worked entry-level jobs to make ends meet, and had no idea how or where to save and invest money. But after reading a few personal finance books, she realized she was one of millions of young adults in this situation—and it was that moment that changed her life. She became a traditional financial planner, and in 2016 launched her own firm to focus on helping Millennials. Through her blog, podcast, and speaking gigs, Catie is putting a fresh, new face on the fundamentals of personal finance.
In 2016, Catie launched her own firm, Hogan Financial Planning, to focus on helping Millennials build successful futures. Known as the "funny financial planner" for her ability to blend humor and finance in her talks and writing, she's on a life mission to promote financial literacy.
Catie's writing can be found on her blog, Get It Together, The Scold, and AOL Finance, and she hosts the "Get It Together with Catie Hogan" podcast. She's been quoted in Men's Health, The Christian Science Monitor, Bankrate.com and NerdWallet, and has been a featured guest on several podcasts. She spends her evenings writing and performing with Atlanta's award-winning comedy company, Sketchworks, and her satire has been published in McSweeney's, The Belladonna Comedy, Funny or Die, and many others.
