Shannon Buckmaster
Shannon's passion is to encourage people to welcome challenges, rise from failures and mistakes and rebuild. She has survived years of abuse in several contexts, yet she uses that pain to create hope for others. She helps individuals grow in resiliency, hope and compassion by releasing shame and fighting social stigmas, opening up a greater possibility to love oneself and others.
Shannon has a BA in Religious Studies from George Fox University (2002) and an MDiv from Yale University (2005, with an Assoc. Minister internship at Bedford Presbyterian Church, NY). Before launching her own company, Shannon taught at George Fox (6 years) and trained the sales force for Mary Kay, Inc. as a Sr. Ind. Sales Director (7 years, earning 4 cars - 1 pink Cadillac included - in the process), also representing the Mary Kay Ash Foundation as a national spokeswoman against domestic violence. She serves on boards for Newberg Habitat for Humanity, the Young Pros of Yamhill Valley, the Rotary Club of Newberg, Oregon, and Petra Peacebuilders, Inc. and volunteers for several non-profits, locally and internationally.
