Kate Atkin
MSc
CBE, UKKate Atkin is an inspirational speaker focussing on the imposter syndrome... that nagging doubt that at some point your success will turn out to be fake and you'll be exposed as a fraud. Where the reality is that, yes, you really are as good as other people say you are. Something she has personal experience in!
With over 20 years of experience as a trainer and facilitator, Kate has spoken to large and small audeinces and is also experienced in online presentations and webinars. A highly skilled listener, her style is both supportive and challenging, and she creates audience interatcion whether face-to-face or virtual.
Kate comes from a farming background in Lincolnshire and recenlty returned to her rural roots. She had a successful career with Barclays Bank plc before starting her own learning and development business in September 2000.
In 2015 she completed a Masters degree in Applied Positive Psychology which has brought insights into well-being, meaning and positivity that she is incorporating into her work. This also led to opportunities to lecture at Cambridge University Judge Business School on their EnterpriseWISE programme and their post-graduate diploma in entrepreneurship. Kate is continuing with her research, currently focussing on a doctorate researching the imposter syndrome (which really should be termed impostor phenomenon!) in the workplace, including the effect the current working from home climate is having.
Kate is author of The Presentation Workout and The Confident Manager, and also a world debating champion.
