Having consulted for some of the world's largest corporations, Kevin has earned several distinctive awards and honors.  His newest innovation, PEER®, is consistently recognized as a long overdue, industry-changing, innovation in the field of Employee Engagement.  One of his other notable recognitions was for the creation of HR360™, which won Human Resource Executive magazine's "HR Product of the Year" award.

In addition, Kevin has been featured in several other books, including: The Great Employee Handbook,Business Lessons from the Edge, The Most Dangerous Business Book You'll Ever Read, Business Confidential: Lessons for Corporate Success from Inside the CIA, and Perspectives on Managing Employees.  He is a frequent keynote speaker at national and international conventions, most recently sharing the keynote stage with David Ulrich at the HR Summit in Dubai.

Kevin received a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School in 1988, concentrating his degree in Managerial Decision-making and Strategy, Human Resources Management, and Organizational Behavior. 

Prior to business school, Kevin spent four years with Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. in New York City, London, and Japan.  He then worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co., while attending Harvard.  After graduating from Harvard, Kevin founded Collegiate Research Services, Inc. (CRS). CRS was established for the sole purpose of introducing the American Career and College Entry Service (ACCES).  Featured in numerous publications including Business Week and USA Today, ACCES used a survey to create the first electronic link between high school students and post-secondary organizations offering opportunities for further education and training.

Though not Native American, Kevin had a unique experience with Diversity; having grown up on a Native American Indian Reservation in Northern Wisconsin.  As such, this shaped Kevin's lifelong interest in, and passion about, Diversity & Inclusion.  He currently lives with his wife and two daughters in a Chicago suburb.  He speaks beginning level Japanese and Spanish. 

Outside of the office, Kevin is an avid, high-altitude mountaineer.  He has climbed: in the Himalayas (Multiple peaks and trails in the Annapurna region of Nepal), Africa (19,700-foot Mt. Kilimanjaro), Alaska (20,320-foot Mt. McKinley), Argentina (23,000-foot Mt. Aconcagua), and Russia (18,510-foot Mt. Elbrus).  His most recent climbing expedition was on Mount Blanc and The Matterhorn in the Alps.  Other hobbies include fly-fishing, snow and water skiing, cooking, and traveling.  His personal and professional travels have brought him to over sixty-five different countries.

He currently volunteers as a fundraiser and regularly contributes to the following charities:  American Cancer Society, Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, The Chicago Lyric Opera Green World Campaign, Compassion International, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), The Maine Wilderness Watershed Trust, The Noble Network of Charter Schools, Right Angle, Special Olympics, and The Student Sponsorship Programme (South Africa).  Previous volunteer work includes tutoring for the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia and cooking/counseling at a Washington, D.C. shelter for homeless men.
