Terrence Allen
The majority of my professional life was spent in a senior level Sales and Marketing Management role with Honeywell Limited out of Toronto, Canada. Subsequent to this tenure, I joined a vocational services company counselling and delivering workshops to business professionals displaced from the workforce assisting with their reintegration into positions that were more aligned with their professional passions. It was here that my talent for counselling, one-on-one coaching and inspiring audience members through workshops and the occasional keynote address was revealed to me. These were the gifts that had been given to me with which to service my own life by living a life of service to others and it was from this experience that I decided I just had to establish my own company providing professional contract speaking and coaching services to others.
My personal life is blessed with the incredible relationship I have with our son who recently met and fell deeply in love with a woman he met on the internet. They are now married, living in Australia and raising two children. Over the course of my life I have pursued a diverse range of recreational activities. These have included acquiring my private pilot's licence back in my twenties, my black belt in the cruel sport of kickboxing in my thirties, certification in scuba diving along with our son as my 'dive buddy', racing one litre 'Superbike' motorcycles and motocross bikes in the summer and snowmobiles in the winter. I have also enjoyed a decades-long passion for the construction and flying of exotic, radio-controlled model airplanes and helicopters.
Soul InSight isTerrence Allen and this company is the initiative that represents my heart's deepest and furthest professional passion. Whether it's through keynote presentations, interactive workshops or one-on-one counselling/coaching, I draw on a blend of physics, philosophy, insights that serve to awaken inner wisdom and storytelling to help my clients understand experientially the origin of the obstacles they are allowing to interfere with a fuller and more natural expression of their innate potential. The end result is sustainable change in virtually every aspect of their Life both personally and professionally.
Firstly, I want by very clear about what it is we do not do. We don't offer keynote or workshop presentation services or even client coaching services intended to help our clients learn how to replicate the most recent strategy for executing exemplary leadership skills which require the client(s) to remember an action phrase for every letter in the word 'SUCCESS'. Nor do we offer high energy, 'pump-you-up' presentation or coaching services accompanied by the annoying repetition of positive affirmation statements like "I am a winner, I am a winner" or "I know I can do it, I knowI can do it" over and over again...ad infinitum, ad nauseum. In our opinion, such strategies can have the effect of leaving us feeling quite positively charged in that very moment but, within a day or two (if not after just a few hours) we're right back where we started. The results are simply not sustainable in the long term and sustainable change for the clients who retain our services is how we are banking on building this business.
